Sad but TRUE!
You have been a PRODUCTIVITY junkie.
You’ve got all the productivity apps running in the background
tracking your health, workout, and work time.
Then slowly numbness and brain fog creep in, then loss of appetite,
then a feeling of doom and gloom, then a feeling of emptiness and lack of progress.
This is what happens when you focus too much on your productivity
and ignore your wellbeing.
Sometimes going fast is not the way to speed things up.
Sometimes, SLOWING DOWN is really the way we should move forward.
Learn how to SLOW DOWN.
It’s easy to say SLOW DOWN.
The way you learn this by heart is to start
INCORPORATING Small Things into your daily life.
Your mind needs to learn your tempo.
If you think at 5000 words/ minute (is that even possible lol!),
you will naturally spill over this habit into
your speech, movement, breathing, eating, and every little thing you do.
No wonder you haven’t had the time to watch the seasons
or smell the roses,
you just whisk past them like Road Runner.
One way to do this is to start training your mind
to listen to audio or watch video at 0.75x SLOWER than you normally will.
You will be surprised to learn more with less.
You will now start to realise,
less is actually more and SLOWER does not actually mean INFERIOR,
it just trains you to go DEEPER.
Some things can really just be appreciated at a DEEPER LEVEL.
Alot of things are really ELUSIVE (i.e. allergic) to shallowness,
no wonder you don’t even encounter them lol.
Learn to live SLOWER & DEEPER.
You will start to live with more REFLECTION & GRATITUDE.

Consider them as our JUMBO JETS or DREAM LINERS.
The BIGGER the DREAM, the LONGER THE runway.
Allowing yourself the LUXURY of CHILLING OUT
is equivalent to giving your dreams
a longer and smoother runway for TAKE OFF!
It’s all part of your BIGGER GAME PLAN!
COOK OR BAKE SOMETHING!
The idea here is that your SENSES become engaged
in a WORTHWHILE PURSUIT when you are cooking or baking.
When we have been engaged for long periods of time
in our intellectual pursuits,
we often feel drained without immediately
reaping or enjoying the fruits of our labour.
Cooking or baking impresses upon our subconscious
that when you are doing or making something mindfully,
you will reap the rewards in due time.
It is called POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT.
And with cooking or baking usually in just a matter of few short hours.
This is a practical way of instilling good habits
upon our subconscious because often
when we are immersed in LONG TERM PURSUITS,
we get lost in the forest of our busyness and thought processes.
DELAYED GRATIFICATION is a noble quality,
but being human- yes you are HUMAN-
Not GOD or Demi-god –
sometimes we have to get back into the reality of life
that in order to feel that sense of PROGRESS,
we need to see some tangible goalpost!
So next time you are doubting the VALIDITY of your BUSINESS or DREAMS,
cook or bake something- because you got to bake your cake and eat it too!
Now don’t cheat yourself here and go order a takeaway.
This is about the PROCESS and not the OUTCOME!
It is about mimicking the time continuum of your Dreams
to a shortened time to remind you
that when you have taken care of the PROCESS,
the RESULTS would come as expected.
If they don’t come as planned, don’t despair.
Everyday life is a very rich and fertile ground
to REFINE our INNER SELF.

most remote and highest villages of nepal
had to leave their families and study in
SNOWLAND BOARDING SCHOOL in Kathmandu, Nepal.
It’s an eye-opening story in that it reveals to us
how our everyday pettiness compares
to their physically and emotionally tough lives.
Compared to these children,
you have a high chance of living a relatively insulated life.
It’s nice to reach for your goals,
but it’s better if those goals will have an impact to humanity.
