Chercheur de Truffes
We camped in tents for three nights to get here
which was great fun.
The man on this postcard is hunting for special mushrooms
called truffles which grow under the earth here
and can only be smelt by pigs
who are trained specially to find them in the winter.
There are lots of fish in the river
and masses of different butterflies everywhere
so Sue is very happy.
We swim in theRiver Dordogne which is lovely
and warm and dark green
but has slimy stones on the bottom.
Lots of love from Mrs. D. Edwards and Sue x
