 FROM THE POSTCARD:

4-9-81

At the moment I’m sipping my cooled drink on the balcony of this house where I’m staying.

We went into this hotel which had no rooms but the woman sent us along to her sister

who put us up in her house.

She must do this fairly regularly as there are others staying there.

The rooms are nice and clean.

We got here by horse-drawn taxi and

when we arrived they didn’t seem too keen on us,

but once we were in,

they are quite a nice family.

See you soon.
