1. “A SPRING-LIKE SCENE IN HYDE PARK- THE BABIES’ PARADE”

The recent spell of fine mild weather brought out the leaves and flowers,
and in the Park there were many scenes
more reminiscent of May than February.
Children and their nurses thronged the paths,
seats were crowded, and everybody seemed
to be making the most of the sunshine.
 
2. “GATHERING NARCISSI ON A FLOWER FARM IN THE SCILLY ISLES”
7 7/8 inches X 6 1/8 inches 
 
Flower-growing is the staple industry in the Scillies,
and one which provides most of the inhabitants with a living.
Just now the gathering of blooms for the London market is in full swing,
and the work of cutting, sorting, and packing
occupies many hands. 
Our illustration shows the flower-gatherers at work in a field of narcissi,
which at this time of year present a scene of extraordinary beauty.
