DREAM COTTAGE

In my dreams there is a cottage,

Deep with peace beyond all words,

And the scent of many flowers

And the song of many birds.

With the tang of morning fragrance

And the glow of afternoon

Followed by the peace of twilight

And the solace of the moon.

With an attic full of treasures

And a room to please a guest,

Children’s footsteps and the company

Of those I love the best.

Every nook will shine with welcome,

Every window boast a view

In my dreams there is a cottage

And one day it may come true.
