When visiting Tagaytay, one simply cannot miss the culinary rite of passage that is the famous bulalo. Imagine beef so tender it practically falls off the bone, steeped in a broth that has been meticulously slow-cooked for hours to achieve a richness that is nothing short of culinary artistry.

But what if you find yourself in an urban setting, unable to employ traditional cooking methods involving firewood and charcoal? Fear not. This gastronomic marvel can easily be replicated within the confines of your own home. A simple solution is to prepare your meat in the morning and set it in your slow cooker. By evening, you’ll return to a home filled with the welcoming aroma of bulalo, cooked to perfection and ready to offer the comfort and warmth you deserve after a long day.

Traveling with a lawyer presents its own quirks. You’ll quickly notice that water is often not their beverage of choice. More often than not, they opt for milk tea or coffee.

For those accustomed to hot teas and coffees prevalent in Western countries, prepare for a change of pace. In this tropical paradise, especially during the summer, iced teas and iced coffees reign supreme.

As for my personal preference, I am a staunch advocate for hot coffee, irrespective of the season.

With a smooth drive heading south, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the calming waves and pristine sands of Batangas in no time. Remember, it’s about a 2-hour drive, but that could vary depending on your speed and the current traffic conditions.

Playa Calatagan is one of Batangas’ hidden gems. With its azure waters and soft sandy shores, it’s a paradise waiting to be explored. However, as of the date of this post, this serene haven is exclusive to residents – it’s a PRIVATE PROPERTY. A perfect escape for those who cherish tranquility and exclusivity.
