CUNARD
GREAT SHIPS OF BRITISH REGISTRY

QUEEN MARY (1936)
The “Queen Mary”, perhaps the best loved of the Cunarders,
operated mainly on transatlantic voyages,
not making her first cruise until 1965.
Her last departure was from New York
in 1967.

QUEEN ELIZABETH (1940)
The “Queen Elizabeth”
started life rather unglamorously as a troop carrier in 1940
but later quickly established herself as the luxurious
and popular transatlantic liner
operating between Southampton and New York
for over 20 years.

CARONIA (1948)
The “Caronia” was the first Cunarder
to be built with cruising especially in mind
and from 1948 onwards was employed
almost exclusively in cruising,
with a WORLD CRUISE
leading the feature.
