Motor cars of the day are also a nice VINTAGE feature of this postcard.

The Right side of the photo is the bank of the River Thames.

Both sides of the Thames feature beautiful walks

but the Thames Embankment (now probably VICTORIA EMBANKMENT)

is the quieter of the two.

The South Bank – which is across the river

is the more touristy & therefore the busier side of the Thames.

The South side of the River features

The London Aquarium, London Eye, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre,

Southbank Centre, Queen’s Walk, Hay’s Galleria,

Tate Modern, and lots of Riverside Restaurants & Bars.

The Thames offer alot of pleasure cruises

which can be completed in 45 minutes to 2 hours.

During the Summer High Season,

LONDON is bustling everywhere

so be sure to PRIORITISE your itineraries

because you might be waiting in line for 2-3 hours

just to board the LONDON EYE.

You can cross the river by foot via WESTMINSTER BRIDGE.
