This is the view outside London Bridge station .
No need to get out to catch the tube though, this is just a side trip.
We’re now on the platform waiting to board the tube.
Before you go underground make sure you know which platform you are taking
because Google maps wont work underground,
unless you’re with a mobile network that works underground
which I think O2 and Three provides- not sure.
Better be on the safe side.
If in doubt, ask the officers on duty,
you’ll know them because they’re on uniforms.
Of course, not alot of people here today because its the weekend.
If you come here during the weekday rush hour,
you wont even have room to take photos lol.
LONDON REAL ESTATE/ PROPERTY CONFERENCE BY TOUCHSTONE EDUCATION
We have arrived at the venue.
And of course, they have already started.
I hate making such a grand entrance
so just really sneak your way in slowly and not disturbing others.
Was lucky that they let me in.
In other conferences, you’ll have to wait for their coffeebreak for them to let you in.
People do keep time here,
unlike in other countries I know of lol.
The one now presenting in front is the lovely Mr. Paul Smith
(not related to the Paul Smith London perfumes lol).
He is the founder and lead trainer for Touchstone Education UK .
Touchstone Education is dedicated to Real Estate/Property
and Wealth Creation and Wealth Building Education.
The people attending here are mostly London professionals
who are wanting to get out of their stressful work-life imbalance lol
and really looking to get into property on a more serious level.
Some are here to expand their property portfolios,
meaning they are already into property thus looking to joint venture (JV)
with other investors.
Usually, their projects are housing developments,
student and residential flats,
and a few residential/commercial conversions .
‘The Secret of Change is to focus all of your energy,
not on fighting the old, but on building the new’-
SOCRATES
Wow that’s such in time for the new decade you agree?
Most of the work really starts in the mind.
Some people focus so much on networking
while their philosophy is not yet refined.
They really do end up getting that ‘impostor syndrome’ –
when you are suffering from an impostor syndrome,
maybe you are one lol.
Not so much on networking folks,
focus on building your MINDSET first,
the rest will really follow, with time.
Most people are really impatient to let time do its work,
so in turn they network alot to cover up for that shortcoming.
As Bishop TD Jakes said, ‘Quality Takes Time and You are God’s Masterpiece ‘ .
Beautiful!
These people really network like there’s no tomorrow lol.
The woman presenting in front was a former British Telecom (BT) Executive
who left her CORPORATE job to go into property full-time
and to teach in Touchstone Education part-time.
Her story is commonplace in London,
corporate employees and executives jumping ship
to leave their stressful lives and live a more sort of
a more peaceful and mindful existence.
Presenting now in front with Mr. Paul Smith
is the very humble Mr. Jonathan.
Perhaps, if you meet him on the streets outside you will look down on him
as a humble retiree on his jumper and jeans.
When you learn the extent of his property portfolio
and his business interests in London’s Belgravia and beyond,
you’d want to strip off your airs lol.
It pays to be humble, you never know who is really in front of you.
This man, despite having his multi-million pound property portfolio in London
shares that he still does look after his small shop to keep his mind busy.
For him, he is not the type to lounge around the Caribbean
or the Mediterranean despite all the money he got.
Some people are really born workaholic ,
not because they need to but because that is how they feel alive.
Apart from property, this man sells private jets.
Say no more lol.
He really reminds me of Warren Buffet , Bill Gates , and Steve Jobs .
Perhaps birds of the same feathers do really flock together.
BUFFET LUNCH COURTESY OF TOUCHSTONE EDUCATION
This is a free buffet lunch provided by Touchstone Education UK
for the conference attendees. Nice!
Of course, this is now the time to use your interpersonal skills,
there’s no escaping it.
When you are attending live events like this, just be yourself,
but with a bit of showmanship.
It would really be awkward not even to talk to the person
or people at your table will it?
These people will really make you feel uncomfortable if you are just faking it.
London crowd can smell BS 10 miles away lol .
These real estate crowd are like Agent 007 (James Bond).
They will shoot your plane down lol.
Now on to lunch, Buon Appetito!
WALKING AROUND LONDON After grinding it out for the last 2 days,
you really can’t process anything serious anymore.
This is now the best time to walk around London because as it is Springtime ,
you get to enjoy warmer and sunnier climes.
Alot of those people will really go to the pub, bars, or restaurants
to continue their post-conference networking .
If you’re introverted,
you can just about manage pockets of socialising hours.
More than that, it’s like receiving death threats lol.
We are now walking along Oxford Street ,
London’s shopping high street .
If you continue walking south, you’ll soon join Bond Street
which houses more upmarket brands .
This magnificent block along Oxford Street
(don’t confuse it with the location of Oxford University lol,
you’re nowhere near it) is Selfridges .
Address : 400 Oxford St, Marylebone, London W1A 1AB
It was founded by Harry Gordon Selfridge in 1908.[1]
The flagship store on London ‘s Oxford Street is the second largest shop in the UK
(after Harrods ) and opened 15 March 1909.
Of course, London is not as boring as this lol, quite the opposite.
Every Christmas season, London is transformed to a Winter Wonderland.
